We are constantly in conversation with ourselves like a personal commentary.
I am not good enough.
I am not smart enough.
I am not earning enough.
I am not successful enough.
I am not powerful enough.
I am not extraordinary enough.
The list goes on……..
We call it inner voice or self talk.
This reflects our inner most state of being & contributes to how we see ourselves, our self image.
More often than not, we judge ourselves a bit too harshly. No matter how much we may try to compensate that feeling of being scarce through determination or laborious efforts, we are still going to feel miserable.
Because more than what we do outside, what we tell ourselves matters. In this case, while trying to be worthy, we are telling ourselves, we are worthless.
REMEMBER YOU CAN’T LIVE A POSITIVE LIFE, WITH A NEGATIVE MIND
How aware are you of this voice?
Unless we become aware of our self talk, it going to continue hissing critical comparisons & play back manipulative versions our deepest fears & vulnerabilities.
What needs to change is our internal narratives and focus.
Staying focused on being unworthy is going to further keep us away from playing the game at our best.
It matters not how accomplished we stand out for the world, what matters is giving our best and being aware of the efforts we’ve put for the cause & giving credit for how far we’ve come.
The biggest act of self love is also noticing our own critical self talk & taking a pause to accept it’s doing more damage than good.
Self love helps us to consciously cultivate self respect, thus allowing us to look at our perceived flaws & weaknesses as unique features, quirks & hallmarks leading to self-confidence tempered with humility.
