“Judging yourself harshly is actually a call for love. Let go of the judgements & let love in”
We’re taught to be kind to others from the very beginning, but all too often we leave ourselves off the list.
Reality is, we can be our biggest bully.
Here are a few ways to be a kind friend to yourself :
- Instead of submitting to your misgivings, stand up to them. Squash self-doubt. Cheer for yourself. You are your own biggest motivator.
- Instead of dwelling in past miseries, do things your future self will thank you for.
- Embrace the whole of you, including your flaws, as they make you unique.
- Welcome the good, If you don’t think you are worthy of love, happiness, or success, you won’t receive those things because you won’t allow yourself to let them in.
- Yearning for the good old days or stressing about what the future holds, dilutes the present. Don’t waste what you have now by wishing for what once was or longing for what could be. This is your time. Live in it.
Make peace with grudges & hard feelings, and set yourself free.
Life’s tough enough—there’s no reason to steal your own sunshine. Be kind to yourself, as much as you would want others to be kind to you.
